Will enable a platform which unites Genetic technology, scientists, and laboratories with families who cope with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, opening doors to explore the latest possibilities.
Crispr Technology
The CRISPR-Cas9 technology has emerged as a versatile and powerful genome engineering tool, providing the ability to introduce specific modifications at precise parts of the genome. CRISPR-Cas9-mediated genome engineering has revolutionized biomedical research. It is widely used in the development of novel approaches to treat cancer, chronic diseases, infectious diseases, and congenital defects.
What do we do
Our organization started through the journey of JPs parents and their struggle through his ASD diagnosis. After years of examinations and tests they have found a lack of opportunities to address potential treatments for this neurodevelopmental disorder.
About NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS
Neurodevelopmental disorders are disabilities associated primarily with the functioning of the neurological system and brain. Examples of neurodevelopmental disorders in children include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning disabilities, intellectual
disability (also known as mental retardation), conduct disorders, cerebral palsy, and impairments in vision and hearing. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders can experience
difficulties with language and speech, motor skills, behavior, memory, learning, or other
neurological functions.
JPs Foundation aims to make the latest gene technology available to families with and their child with any type of neurodevelopmental disorder.
Our main goal is to create a bridge between parents of children with any type of neurodevelopmental disorder that may have an inherent genetic cause, and laboratories that specifically study the gene of interest.
